Research Assistant

I4ds is an institute attached to the FHNW in Brugg. I started with a three months internship which was prolonged with a six months master project. After graduation, I was invited to join as a Researcher. I am the only Database specialist supporting the whole team.

• Internship project: Built an interface between Firebird database and VRML 3D models, actualized bidirectional connection between 3D generator and database， implemented in C++, with regular expression.
• Master project: Designed a data structure for 3D models in relational databases (data based), implemented in C++ with MFC, MSSQL and Coin3D for Open Inventor. Download Thesis
• Other Projects: 
  • Developing a plug-in for Revit (CAD Software by Autodesk) for organizational data management, implemented in C#, MSSQL.
  • A building model (3D) data management system engineering project. Designing with object oriented database versant, in data format Open Inventor and Open Cascade, implemented in C++. 
  • Set up and maintaining a Linux server with SVN, Apache and Trac (Wiki).
